A shelf for one pot
I made a small wooden stand for a plant. It took longer than the plant took to grow.

I had an offcut of oak and a fern that needed a place. I cut a box, planed it smooth, and oiled it until it went the colour of honey.
The pot sits on top. Books go underneath. That is all it does and it does it well.
The time
Two weekends. Most of it sanding. I could have bought one for the price of the oil. But then I would not stop and touch the corner every time I walk past.
