A strap for my brother's guitar
Leather, a buckle, and his initials stamped crooked.
Tove Hallberg
My brother plays in a band that rehearses in a garage. His guitar strap was nylon and fraying. For his birthday I made him one in leather.
I cut it, punched holes, stamped his initials. The E is lower than the K. He noticed immediately and said he liked it better that way.
At the gig
He wore it at a small show in a bar. I watched the strap more than the music. It held. He played well. I will make a better one next year and he will keep using this one.
