Bikes
Riding with the club
Forty riders in a line. I lasted until the second hill.
Oskar Falk
A colleague talked me into joining the Sunday club ride. Matching jerseys, bikes that cost a car, and a pace I had only seen on television.
On the flat the group pulled me along. It feels like flying, someone else breaking the wind for you. Then came the hill. The group went up it. I went up it later.
The café
They waited for me at the top café. Nobody laughed. Someone bought me a bun. I will go again next Sunday and last until the third hill.
