One picture on the wall
The landlord said I could hang three. I hung one and the room got bigger.
I own more prints than walls. For years I hung them in clusters, the way magazines told me to, with paper templates and a level. The sofa wall looked like a noticeboard.
Last month I took them all down to paint and only put one back. A grey seascape a friend printed for me. It sits above the sofa, slightly too high, and the room finally has a centre.
The others
They are in a folder under the bed. I rotate one in when I am bored of the sea. That happens less often than I expected.
