Garden
Poppies where the potatoes were
I left one bed alone for a year. It filled itself.

The potato bed was tired, so I let it rest. No digging, no sowing. In June it was a mess of grass. In July it was red.
Poppies. Hundreds of them. The seed must have been in the soil for years, waiting for someone to stop turning it over.
What I learned
Some of the best things in a garden are already there and only need you to step back. I am not good at stepping back. The poppies were very patient with me.
