Walking
The forest in fog
Morning walks in October happen inside a cloud.
Karin Moberg
The spruce forest behind the house is dark on a sunny day. In fog it disappears. You see three trees, then two, then you are walking on a path that ends ten metres ahead of you at every step.
I like it more than I should. Sounds carry differently. A crow sounds close. A car on the main road sounds like it is in another country.
Coming out
The fog lifts at the edge of the forest. You walk out into a field and the sky is suddenly there. It feels like leaving a cinema.
